New year, new country, Nitro Circus is back in action!

January I made it over to New Zealand to start rehearsals for the next Nitro Circus Live Tour. Our first show for this tour was Saturday, February 5th at the North Harbour Stadium in Auckland. We were all very excited to get back on tour. We had some much needed time off-all going back to doing our separate things for a few months-but we were ready to get back to being attached at the hips and experiencing what ever comes our way as a Nitro family on the road again! While on tour, we all travel on a bus together and drive everywhere and have been very excited to see all of New Zealand. I’m not too much of a fan of airports and airplanes lately, so getting to do a huge cross-country road trip with all my friends was a bonus!

Just before the tour started, I was at Cam Sinclair’s house – a member of the NC Live crew and one of my heroes! He is one of the FMX’ers on tour and one of only three people to ever do a double back flip and the only one performing them on a regular basis going ramp to ramp. Cam has a unique, amazing and inspiring story, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSpljvD4rMc. We are extremely lucky to have him as part of our tour and I am always honored to share the floor with him.

I was at the Sinclair household near Melbourne, Australia, putting in some practice on my brand new RM250 (given to me from Suzuki Australia), breaking it in and flipping into the foam pit to dust off the cobwebs! I’ve had a string of tough months with getting injured riding in the Fall and then having a much-needed fix-up surgery on my ankle. I broke it filming the Nitro Circus tv show on MTV way back at the end of our first season when I had a little encounter with an Ogio roller luggage bag and an escalator… Haha, yes, with all the crazy, gnarly things we do, I was taken down by an escalator.  It took almost two years to get the surgery, as we have not had much time off since the accident for me to take the time to get it fixed. It’s been a pretty painful, ongoing problem that I just had to deal with: lots of ice, sleeping with my foot up and taping it up anytime we did anything. Not to mention, I really miss being able to put on a pair of sexy heels when going out! Haha! I’m still getting heaps of therapy to get it all back in order, but lots of ice has accompanied me on this tour to get me through… All part of the job.

I have a very big year ahead of me and I’m so excited to venture down all these roads of the unknown. We have Nitro Tours hitting up New Zealand, Australia (again), a single stop-off in Vegas and then over to Europe! We are filming a Nitro Circus 3-D feature length movie throughout the year.

I also have a signature DC Clothing line coming out, I spent many exciting hours designing, collaborating and making sure I was involved in every aspect so that it represents me and my style 100%. It will hit stores this fall and be out just in time for Christmas shopping.

Be sure to check in with me on my new Supergirl blog every month to get caught up on what I’m up to and what me and my crew getting into. Never fear the unknown, embrace it and charge it full speed, you never know where it will take you!
