Cross Country Tour Announced to Celebrate the Launch of Supergirl by Nastia
Nastia Liukin will make special appearances at JCPenney Stores across the country to celebrate girl empowerment, individuality and the Supergirl in all young girls.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Comics, and JCPenney announced today that five-time Olympic Medalist and World Champion Nastia Liukin will debut her new collection, Supergirl by Nastia, as part of a five-market tour that will visit JCPenney stores around the country. As part of the tour, Nastia will provide young girls motivational advice on achieving their goals, feeling confident and being smart, strong and empowered—being a Supergirl. Nastia will also introduce her new fun, affordable lifestyle collection, Supergirl by Nastia, available exclusively at JCPenney stores nationwide.
The Supergirl by Nastia collection features trend-right, affordable apparel that encourages a message of empowerment, creativity, strength, intelligence and independence—the symbolic attributes and S-Shield of Supergirl, the iconic DC Comics super heroine. The collection, created for today’s 4-12-year-old girls, will be available exclusively at JCPenney – in stores and on jcp.com – beginning July 20, just in time for the back-to-school season.
The tour kicks off on July 24 in New York City, with additional stops in Dallas, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; Glendale, California; and Orlando, Florida. Joining in each market will be kids from JCPenney’s Afterschool Fund and other local community groups who will enjoy an empowering message from Nastia, as well as the opportunity for prizes, including a shopping spree for back-to-school clothes, courtesy of JCPenney.
Nastia Liukin will be on hand to host the action-packed New York event, which will feature live gymnastic exhibitions, dance performances, fashion presentations and even onsite stretching and tumbling classes for young girls. Nastia will also offer styling tips and host a meet and greet for attendees and prizes will be awarded to lucky winners throughout the event.

The line will retail from $20 – $38, making it affordable and exciting for girls to style themselves like a Supergirl. The collection will include active fleece, dresses and tunics, knit pants, signature Supergirl tees, dancewear, fashion leggings, shrug tops and more.

• August 7: Schaumburg, IL – Woodfield Mall
• August 21: Glendale, CA – Glendale Galleria
• August 28: Orlando, FL – The Florida Mall
For the past four years, Warner Bros. has been supporting female athletes with the Supergirl Jam, the only large-scale, all-girls action sports competition and lifestyle/music festival. The Supergirl S-Shield is the universally recognized symbol of strength and leadership under which today’s sports girls unite. These “actionistas” embody the intelligence, independence, strength and creativity of the Supergirl brand.
Nastia will make a special appearance at this year’s Supergirl Jam set to take place on August 22 in Venice Beach, CA.
